Hungry Sumo - eat and hit

Sometimes in the game-developers community a thought is expressed, that everything what could be invented, has already been invented, and all the new games are just the clones or remakes of their famous or long-forgotten predecessors. But, despite this point of wiev, the games with new, addicting gameplay, still appear.

The bright representative of the games with innovative gameplay is Hungry Sumo. The idea is simple: several circle-shaped sumo wrestlers are floating on the screen, bouncing from each other and from the walls. As bigger sumos hit harder, feed your wrestlers by hovering the mouse over them. They will grow, but beware: if the eating sumo hits an enemy, he’ll shrink and become the member of the enemy team at once.

This easy-to-learn game mechanics, together with multiple enemy types provides you 50 levels of fun and joy.

The level difficulty grows steadily. On the initial levels the teams are even, then the player’s team becomes outnumbered a bit. But as by that time you’ll get the hang of the gameplay, this won’t prevent you from winning.

Later new types of the enemies appear:
The Statue sumo is neutral and doesn’t inflict or receive damage when hit. But, nevertheless, if he hits your eating sumo, your wrestler will turn to statue.
The Ninja sumo hits harder than the ordinary enemy of his size. On the higher levels there will be almost no ordinary enemies, their place will be taken by ninjas.

After 15 levels you understand, that the fact that you can feed your sumos and the computer can’t, makes the game uneven. But on level 16 the Grower sumo appears. He gets bigger over time, so, feed your sumos fast to beat him.

Then Oni sumo appears, he is most vicious when small. And one of the most dangerous enemies is Poisonous sumo (perhaps, he'd eaten fugu just before the game). Your wrestlers continue receiving damage even for some time after the collision with him.

When you have two well-fed sumos close to each other, and one of which is in the corner, not going to hit an enemy, you can start feeding him. Then, the protected and growing sumo will start pushing his companion, thus, letting him damage the enemies.

The in-game music is relaxing, it has a nice eastern tint, and after some time the players find themselves to move the mouse to the beat of it.
