Gibbets: everyone will be saved

There’s a classic scene in the westerns or Robin Hood movies when a hero saves his friend, who is sentenced to death. When the execution has almost happened, the hero shoots his winchester of bow and cuts the rope.

In the flash game Gibbets you’re expected to be such a hero. You have to save dozens of innocent convicts already hanging but still alive. You have your bow and a limited amount of arrows.

To draw the bow push the mouse button on it and move the cursor. You’ll see the initial direction and the speed of the arrow flight. When you release the mouse button, the bow will shoot. If the arrow cuts a rope, the man will survive. Keep in mind that the arrow will fly along the parabolic curve, so, sometimes it takes several attempto determine the correct angle.

The hanged men are loosing hitpoints constantly, so, not only your arrows are limited, but the time is, too. You can theil lives even more if hit them mistakenly.

You can receive additional arrows by aiming powerups hovering in the air. Some of them add theree additional arrows to your quiver, and the others shoot an air towards the specfied direction immediately.

Sometimes the gibbets are behind the obstacles. Wooden and brick walls can’t be destroyed, you should shoot a lobbes arrow. The walls build of boxes can be brought down by multiple shots. One more differece between the brick and the wooden walls is that arrows don’t struck in brick and can ricochet from it.



The light and optimistic music persuades us that all the men on all the 30 levels will be saved.
